What's in the book?

Based on your Facebook wall, the book has your status updates (including links and photos) and comments on those status updates for 2010 (or a different single year if you specify this).

Small black and white photos from your wall are included. These are small due to the quality of photos Facebook provides.

It doesn't include other people's posts on your wall (so the book is more like a diary) or other photos you're tagged in (Facebook doesn't include this in your download file).

What will the book look like?

The paperback book measures 5×8 inches (13×20 centimeters) and includes a color cover, with black and white interior pages printed on 60-pound (90g/m²) cream-colored text paper. It looks and feels like a regular paperback novel. The cover is either based on one special high quality image you provide us, or just has the year on it.

Instead of the book trying to replicate Facebook's look, your book will feel more like a personal diary.

How much does it cost?

We charge $12US to make your book and Blurb handles the printing and shipping.

Blurb's printing costs range from $2.95 to $12.95, depending on the number of pages. Blurb charges from $6.99US for shipping.

How long does it take to make the book?

We aim to have your book ready for purchase within 2 business days.

Once ordered, most Blurb books arrive within 7 - 10 business days.

How private is my data?

Your privacy is very important to us.

We recommend you open the zip file Facebook provides, and delete everything in the HTML folder except wall.html, then zip everything up again (including the photos folder). We only need wall.html and your photos folder.

You upload your files securely to YouSendIt. These are downloaded and then permanently deleted once your book is made.

You will be emailed a private link to view and purchase your book on Blurb.

Can I make a book for someone else?

Yes, but you'll need them to provide us their Facebook zip file.

Can I make a book for my Facebook fan page?

Not currently, sorry, but we hope Facebook provides a download option for this soon.

Why isn't this a Facebook app?

We are working on one, but we've found this to be the most reliable way to get all your data out for now.
